The 12th match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) witnessed an angry Chris Morris on the field. While a straight dive from MS Dhoni left his fans amazed, a furious Morris became the news by the end of the first innings of the match.
The incident happened in the penultimate over of the innings when Morris came to bowl his final of the four-over spell. The over so far turned out well for him as he eventually had his man, Ravindra Jadeja in the third ball who smashed a boundary towards just before getting dismissed.
However, his dismissal brought Dwayne Bravo in the middle who opened his account with a four. It was a length ball around off and Bravo has lofted it over extra cover for a boundary. He punished the next ball too as he played a square drive that beat two fielders. Although Chetan Sakariya and Mustafizur went after the ball, they couldn't stop it and the ball went for another boundary which left the bowler angry with them, especially Sakariya, who had failed to field the ball at the first time despite putting a dive.
Here is the video of the incident:
Morris was seen unpleased with his teammates that somehow affected his bowling too as he gave two wides after that and ended the over with 15 runs.
Earlier in the game, after having won the toss, Rajasthan Royals elected to field first. CSK got off to a steady start. Despite having no fifties from any of the players, CSK managed to put up a decent total of 188/9 in their allotted 20 overs. Faf du Plessis top-scored with 33 off 17. For Rajasthan, Sakariya claimed 3 wickets for 36 whereas Morris picked up 2 for 33.
