Conor McGregor is continuing to train for his upcoming fight despite being injured. Recently, the former UFC champion uploaded a video of himself working out with his son Conor Jr. and encouraging him to one day win a global championship.

The father and son team are seen going through boxing drills in the video, which McGregor uploaded on Twitter. While offering his son some pointers and guidance, McGregor can be heard pushing him to use punches and kicks. When they had finished memorising their repertoire of hits, he said to the camera that he was a "champion of the world - future champion."

McGregor, who lost to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021 and injured his leg, is anticipated to return in 2023. He has been filming a part in the upcoming Road House remake starring Jake Gyllenhaal while also recovering from surgery and rehabbing his leg.

The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has not tested McGregor since 2021; he must submit six months of testing and provide at least two negative samples. He has asserted that a specific exemption will let him to avoid this obligation, but USADA has refuted this assertion and declared that McGregor is still retired.

Although McGregor has not revealed who his next opponent will be, he has engaged in a number of online fights with other competitors like Justin Gaethje, Alexander Volkanovski, and Islam Makhachev. The UFC lightweight champion Makhachev has indicated a desire to face McGregor. While the UFC featherweight champion Volkanovski and McGregor have traded blows with each other online.
