A comprehensive performance from Delhi in the second half made sure that they set up a date with the Patna Pirates in the Final of the Pro Kabaddi League on Friday. After the game seemed to be tilted just a tad in Bengaluru’s favour, Delhi completely turned the tables in the second half of the contest. They kept Pawan Sehrawat quiet, who did the bulk of the scoring for the Bulls. The pressure of a big match and the relatively inexperienced Bulls have failed to hold their nerves in crunch situations. Naveen Kumar played with a niggle but took his side to victory as they will get another shot at redemption and the trophy on Friday.

After the first half, Bengaluru Bulls took a 17-16 lead against Dabang Delhi. Dabang Delhi had a good start and they got Bangalore Bulls all-out for the first time in the 8th minute. However, Bengaluru Bulls did not allow themselves to lag behind and took a one-point lead in the match till the end of 20 minutes. Pawan Kumar Sehrawat did a tremendous performance in the first half and got 11 points while putting a super raid. In defense, Aman and Saurabh Nandal scored two points each. Naveen Kumar scored 4 and Vijay scored 3 points for Dabang Delhi. Bengaluru Bulls took the lead in the match through raiding.

Here is how Delhi celebrated in a huddle after the win:

Krishna Dhul dismissed Pawan Sehrawat via a super tackle at the beginning of the second half. Delhi did not let their grip weaken and after Neeraj Narwal’s super raid, they inflicted an all-out on Bengaluru Bulls for the second time in the 29th minute. Delhi’s defense did not allow Pawan Sehrawat much success in the second half. Meanwhile, Naveen Kumar extended his lead with a super raid. Naveen Kumar also completed his Super 10 and was instrumental in his team’s lead.

Bengaluru Bulls made a tremendous comeback and came close to all-out Dabang Delhi. However, in the last minute, there was a big mistake from Pawan Kumar Sehrawat and due to this Dabang Delhi benefited. Naveen Kumar did not allow his team to go all-out and Delhi easily won the match. The team of Bengaluru Bulls once again lost in the semi-final against Dabang Delhi. In PKL season 7 also, Dabang Delhi had defeated Bengaluru Bulls in the semis.
