On the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Dakota Kai was taken to the doctors by the general manager Nick Aldis and the referee Dan Engler after suffering a mysterious attack backstage at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The Go-Home show before the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE also saw Bayley check on Dakota Kai’s condition in the doctor’s room.
During their gracious interaction, Dakota Kai said that she knows about needing to prove herself to everyone. Kota also spoke about how she has got Bayley’s back, and they will make their former group Damage CTRL pay before a warm embrace.
Notably, Bayley is set to compete against Iyo Sky for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania. She chose her former best friend from Damage CTRL as her opponent by the virtue of winning the women’s Royal Rumble match last month.
The Damage CTRL members Iyo Sky, Asuka, and Kairi Sane were accused by Bayley of turning their back on her in the months leading up to her women’s Royal Rumble win. When they attacked Bayley after the big reveal, she brought in the steel pipe as an equaliser to turn the tables on them.
Since then, the loyalty of Dakota Kai has come into question in regard to whether she is on the side of Bayley or the current members of Damage CTRL. For now, she has stated her commitment towards Bayley, set to team up with her to take on Asuka and Kairi Sane of the Kabuki Warriors in a tag match on the next week of WWE SmackDown.
