Australian cricketer David Warner, who is leading the Delhi-based franchise, Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League 2023 recently expressed his desire to act in a Telugu movie. He feels that he could play a bad guy and therefore, wants to play the character of a villain, alongside Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu and Rashmika Mandhana. There have been several incidents when the cricketer expressed his love for India, especially Hyderabad. Not only this, but Warner also led the Hyderabad-based franchise, SunRisers Hyderabad to lift the trophy in the IPL 2016.
In a recent episode of the famous chat show, Breakfast with Champions, Warner revealed that since he has made a lot of content on Telugu songs, he would wish to act as a villain in a Telugu movie. Not only this, he has also revealed his dream cast, which has some really big names from the film industry. “My dream cast would be Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun and a female actress Rashmika Mandhana. She has worked with Allu,” Warner said on the show Breakfast with Champions.
“I will be the bad guy. I have to play the bad guy. That’s my nature,” he further added. Notably, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandhana are some of the biggest names in the Telugu film industry.

Apart from that, Warner also talked about how he started making content on Indian songs. Not only this, but he also revealed on the show that while he was starting to make content during the lockdown in 2020, he only knew three songs. Later, a fan asked him to make a reel of the ‘Butta Bomba’ song, and it went viral in no time. Speaking about Warner’s stint in the Indian Premier League 2023, his side, Delhi Capitals, became the first team to get eliminated from the playoffs race in the ongoing season.
