Australian veteran David Warner is appearing in his final Test for Australia. While the six-time world champions are hosting Pakistan for a three-match series, they have already clinched it having won the first two Tests by 360 and 79 runs respectively. Speaking of the ongoing final Test, the Aussies were invited to bowl first in the third Test.
While the Aussie opener took the field earlier with his daughters for the national anthem, he was later given a guard of honour as he took the field to bat. The Pakistan team stood in line to honour the Aussie batter with the latter acknowledging this gesture.

Moreover, Warner also honoured Phil Hughes as he touched his plaque at the SCG. Warner has scored 8695 runs from 111 matches at a strike rate of 44.58 in Tests. Recently, Warner announced retirement from one-day internationals just days ahead of the first Test. Speaking ahead of the Sydney Test, Warner said, “I’m definitely retiring from one-day cricket as well. That was something that I had said through the World Cup, get through that, and winning it in India, I think that’s a massive achievement.”
Speaking of the match, Pakistan were bundled out for 313 runs in the first innings with Pat Cummins once again bagging five wickets. Apart from Cummins, Mitchell Starc scalped two wickets, while Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Marsh and Nathan Lyon picked a wicket each.
