Delhi Capitals clinched a thrilling victory from the jaws of defeat against Lucknow Super Giants in match number four of IPL 2025 in Visakhapatnam. Between all these, another good news arrived in the middle of the match as KL Rahul and his wife Athiya Shetty were blessed with a baby girl last night. The couple shared the news on social media in middle of the DC vs LSG clash. Notably, Rahul also didn’t feature in the game due to this reason.
After the match, the player of Delhi Capitals gave a heartfelt tribute to KL Rahul’s new born. In a video shared by DC on their social media, all the players in the dressing can be seen performing a gesture pretending to play with the baby in their arms. Skipper Axar Patel also added more spice to the video as he quoted “Aa le chakk, mai aa gaya.” The video was shared with a caption “Our family extends, our family celebrates.”

Talking about the match, it turned out to be a thrilling contest between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants in Vizag where DC defeated LSG by 1 wicket in a high-scopring encounter. Thanks to Ashtosh Sharma’s knock of 66*(31) runs, DC were able to pull off the 210 chase in the last over despite getting reduced to 66/ at one point. After the match, DC’s new skipper Axar Patel told fans to ‘get used to these types of thrillers under his captaincy.
“Get used to it now. It's going to be like this only under my captaincy, Things will be up and down a little. Now that we have won, people won't complain about why I gave that over to Stubbs. Don't remember the last time I saw something like this. The way they played in the first six overs, we felt we gave a few too many early on. We dropped some catches as well. It looked like they could score 240, but we pulled things back. We know how much potential he has (Vipraj Nigam),” Axar Patel said in a post-match presentation.
