Argentina and France are currently squaring off against each other at the Lusail Stadium for the ultimate glory in the FIFA World Cup 2022. Argentina main man Lionel Messi scored the opener in the 23rd minute from the spot.

After forcing too much pressure on France in the early stages, Argentina got the breakthrough in the 23rd minute after French forward Ousmane Dembele fouled on Angle Di Maria in the box and referee rewarded a penalty to Argentina. Guess what, Lionel Messi scored his 12th goal in World Cup and put Argentina in front with his goal.

Both, Argentina and France stand a chance to win their third World Cup title while the defending champions could win back-to-back title for the first time in 60 years. Earlier, Italy and Brazil won back-to-back titles in 1934 & 1938, and 1958 & 1962, respectively.
