India A wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel stunned everyone with a marvelous flying catch to dismiss India B skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran in the ongoing 2024 Duleep Trophy clash at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. At the time of writing, India A currently had an upper hand as India B lost five wickets on the second session of the first day.
Batting first, Abhimanyu Easwaran and Yashasvi Jaiswal added 33 runs for the first wicket for India B. However, shortly after this, Dhruv Jurel showed his unreal flying skills on Avesh Khan’s delivery to give India A first breakthrough. Trying to play a cover drive against Avesh Khan, Easwaran ended up edging the ball and it was Jurel who jumped to his right side and grabbed the ball with both hands to end the innings of India B skipper. Easwaran got out after scoring 13 runs off 42 balls.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant fail to put big score as India B collapse against India A
Despite having some of the reputed names from the Indian cricket team, India B seemed to have struggled against India A bowlers in the ongoing 2024 Duleep Trophy clash. After getting a good start, Yashasvi Jaiswal failed to score big and got out after scoring 30(59). Apart from that, Sarfaraz Khan, who had a memorable Test debut for India this year, also went for a cheap score of 9(35) runs.
Star Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant, who was making his red-ball comeback after December 2022, also failed to score big as he was dismissed by Akash Deep after scoring 7(10). At the time of writing, India B are at 99/7 in the second session against India A. Khaleel Ahmed, Avesh Khan and Akash Deep took two wickets each for India A.
