After Team India T20 World Cup 2024 victory in Barbados, former India captain and Player of the Match Virat Kohli was seen sharing the moment with his family. Kohli, who broke down in tears after India’s emphatic win on Saturday, June 29, including the likes of captain Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and other, he took time to call his family back home.
The moment, which has been going viral on social, Virat Kohli video called his wife and Bollywood celebrity Anushka Sharma, to share the special moment with them. In the video, Kohli can also be seen making some funny faces as he was seemingly talking to his child Akaay Kohli.

The 35-year-old, after India’s seven-run win against South Africa, confirmed his retirement from T20 Internationals. Speaking at the post-match presentation, Kohli dropped a shock-bomb confirming his retirement from T20Is. “This was my last T20 game playing for India. We wanted to lift that Cup,” he said.
Although, the sports presenter once again opted to confirm it from the man himself as Kohli reiterated, “Yes, I have, this was an open secret. Wasn’t something that I was going to announce even if we had lost. Time for the next generation to take the T20 game forward and do wonders as we have seen them do in the IPL.”
