The England men's team led by all-rounder Ben Stokes has arrived in India for the five-match Test series starting on January 25. The Three Lions were spotted exiting the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, the venue of the first Test, on January 21. The English team gears up for red-ball cricket after a thrilling Ashes which ended as a 2-2 draw in June-July 2023.

Since then England has primarily played white-ball cricket with the ODI World Cup 2023 in India and then a limited-overs series against the West Indies. After their trip to the Caribbean, England had a preparatory camp in Abu Dhabi before reaching India for the blockbuster Test series as seen in the video posted by PTI.

Ahead of the Test series, England were dealt a massive blow as Harry Brook pulled out of the tour to India citing personal reasons. The development was confirmed by the England Cricket Board in a release. Replacing Brook, Surrey batter Dan Lawerence has been picked in the squad.  The ECB statement said, "Harry Brook is set to return home with immediate effect for personal reasons from the England Men's Test tour of India."

"He will not be returning to India.  The Brook family respectfully requests privacy during this time. In light of this, the ECB and the family kindly request the media and the public to respect their wish for privacy and refrain from intruding on their private space."
