Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Travis Head had an encounter with a fan in Hyderabad which sparked a debate among the fans. Notably, the star Australian cricketer was spotted by a fan while shopping in a supermarket. The fan asked for a selfie but Head didn’t show any interest and politely rejected the fan's request to click a selfie with him. Despite getting rejected once, the fan kept following Travis Head as he was leaving the store, insisting him to take a selfie.
The fan can be heard saying, “Sir please try to understand, we all Hyderabadis love you so at least you need to give some response.” However, the SRH opener didn’t stop and went away. After that, the fans were seen saying to other customers at the supermarket that Travis Head has been showing so much attitude. The video was uploaded by a fan on social media and went viral within a few hours.
They’re going to be the best team: Travis Head on India’s dominance in recent ICC events
Travis Head heaped praise on the Indian team for their performance in the ICC events in recent times. Notably, the Men in Blue clinched two ICC titles in the span of nine months, including the T20 World Cup in June 2024 and Champions Trophy in March 2025. Notably, India also reached the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup at home after winning 10 consecutive matches. However, they ended up losing the final against Australia with Head smashing a match-winning 137 runs.
“They’ve always been the strongest team. I feel like that’s the games that you want to play well in. You want to play well against the best team. They’re going to consistently be the best team. It won’t stop. They’ll probably continually be playing in the finals of ICC events. I guess when you get to that stage in an event—if you look past the last four—we’ve played them in two of those finals, and then they’ve played in the last two and won. And we’ve been fortunate enough to play well in a couple of those finals,” Travis Head told News18.
