A fan of Lionel Messi brought an unusual gift to the Argentine star's presentation at Inter Miami on Sunday: a live goat. It is believed that the fan wanted to honor Messi as the "greatest of all time" or GOAT, a term often used by soccer fans to describe the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner.

The fan was seen with a white baby goat outside the DRV PNK Stadium, which is the home of Inter Miami and also the venue where Messi was presented as an Inter Miami player to the whole world. The fan was immediately flocked by other fans who were amazed by his act of bringing a goat to the stadium. A kid was also seen petting the friendly goat at the venue.

The supporter was among the tens of thousands of people who gathered to welcome Messi to his new team, which made the announcement of his signing on Saturday following weeks of rumours. Messi, who won the World Cup with Argentina last year, said he was "very excited" to work with Gerardo Martino at Inter Miami, who formerly served as Messi's coach at Barcelona and with Argentina's national side.

Messi's arrival is expected to boost Inter Miami's fortunes, as the club is currently struggling at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, with not even a single win in 11 games. The club has not won since May 14, extending its winless streak to 11 with a 3-0 loss to St. Louis City on Saturday. With his presentation on Sunday, the Argentinian has already won a large part of the audience and is looking forward to don the pink jersey.

"This is a fantastic opportunity and together we will continue to build this beautiful project," Messi said in a statement. "The idea is to work together to achieve the objectives we set, and I'm very eager to start helping here in my new home."

Messi could make his debut for Inter Miami on July 22 against LIGA MX side Cruz Azul in the opening match of the Leagues Cup, a tournament that features teams from MLS and Mexico. Fans are hoping that Messi will help Inter Miami end its losing streak and bring some silverware to the club.
