On Saturday, April 27, Rafael Nadal arrived at the Manolo Santana Stadium to a rousing fan reception before playing against Alex de Minaur in the Madrid Open second round. The fans chanted “Rafa, Rafa….” at the top of their lungs to welcome their home hero and the 22-time Grand Slam champion, hoping for a great display of tennis from him.
Notably, in the first round of the Madrid Open, the Spaniard Rafael Nadal got the better of the American, Darwin Blanch, 16, in straight sets 6-1, 6-0. He managed to win 79% of the points on his first serve, while 73% success rate on the second serve, apart from breaking the serve of the opponent five times in nine attempts.
Tennis TV took to their official X account to post a short video of the fans chanting Rafael Nadal’s name inside the Manolo Santana Stadium before his Madrid Open second-round match. A few of these fans also had Spanish flags with them, cheering for their home hero before he took on the Australian Alex de Minaur.

The 37-year-old is currently taking on the 10th seed Alex de Minaur from Australia in front of his home fans, looking to avenge the Barcelona Open defeat against him recently.
