It was in the 84th minute of the game when the drama occurred in the Premier League game at Old Trafford. The home side was cruising for another crucial triumph when one mistake turned the course of the match. It was at this point that Aaron Wan Bissaka was handed a foul for a vicious tackling of Harvey Elliot in the penalty area.
However, the decision was taken upstairs to the VAR and on close look at the point of contact, it appeared that Wan Bissaka hadn’t made any contact with Elliot. But, the decision wasn’t overturned and the referees sustained their penalty decision.
Eventually, Salah did his work as the penalty was converted into the goal which equalized the game by 2-2. Following the game, Man United viciously blasted at referee’s decision and took to the X (formerly Twitter) to have a slo-mo view of the decision.
