The Super 12 round in the T20 World Cup began with a bang. Aaron Finch-led Australia won the toss and invited New Zealand to bat first. The Kiwi openers in Devon Conway and Finn Allen smashed the Aussie bowlers all-round the park to start their campaign on a strong note.
It was Finn Allen, who grabbed the limelight after being named in the Playing XI against Australia over Martin Guptill. The 23-year-old who has been picked as full-time batter for the side showed his power as he smashed veteran pacer Mitchell Starc for maximum and boundaries.
On the very second ball of the New Zealand innings Finn Allen smashed Mitchell Starc for a six, before taking on Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood.
