Former India international Gurkeerat Singh held onto an athletic running catch to dismiss India Capitals' Kirk Edwards in the Legends League Cricket 2023. Singh, playing for the Urbanrisers Hyderabad, had an incredible batting performance as he scored 89 in 54 balls with nine fours and three sixes.

Then in the second innings, India Capitals had a slow start with Gautam Gambhir and Hashim Amla getting out cheaply. Coming in at number three, former West Indies international Kirk Edwards scored a few quick runs as he found the boundary twice. Edwards continued scoring as he attempted a lofted drive towards the offside against Tino Best.

As the ball flew out of the circle, Gurkeerat Singh started running back. The former Royal Challengers Bangalore star covered a considerable distance and completed an incredible catch. Celebrating this wicket, Best had an animated celebration as Kirk Edwards walked back towards the dressing room.
Coming back to Gurkeerat Singh's batting effort, the former Punjab star helped the Hyderabad-based franchise post a massive 189-run total in Ranchi. Along with Singh's 89, captain Suresh Raina scored 46 in 27 balls with six fours and one six, while, former England international Peter Trego finished off the innings a 20-ball 36.
