After the Indiana Pacers defeated the New York Knicks 4-3 in the 2024 NBA Eastern Conference semi-finals on Sunday, two-time All-Star guard Tyrese Haliburton, who registered 26 points in the 21-point Game 7 victory, was accompanied by Pascal Siakam, and Myles Turner for a post-game press conference. During the presser, the 24-year-old guard brought his own drink that the Pacers PR removed.
Haliburton, Siakam, and Turner took a dig at the media for not counting on them throughout the regular season and for the series against the Knicks. However, Michael Preston from the PR team noticed Logan Paul's Prime drink bottle on the podium and confiscated it, leaving Siakam and Turner in splits.
While Siakam and Turner burst into laughter, Haliburton realized his mistake and clarified, "Sorry, I was thirsty." The PR person responded, "It’s all good. I was trying to be subtle," to which the 30-year-old Siakam reacted, "It was not subtle."
