India star all-rounder Hardik Pandya appeared to throw tantrums over a cheat meal during an IPL ad shoot in a leaked video. Pandya, who led 2022 IPL champions Gujarat Titans for two continuous successful seasons, found himself in hot waters lately. Pandya has been currently sitting out of the Indian cricket team due to an injury traded to his old franchise Mumbai Indians. Following his trade, he replaced Mumbai’s long-standing captain Rohit Sharma be the new skipper.
Since then, the 30-year-old cricketer has been surrounded by controversy along with being a constant target for fans and cricket enthusiasts. Recently, an old video of Pandya throwing tantrums over food went viral. In the video, the Gujarat-born cricketer could be seen demanding healthy food over fried and regular Gujarati delicacies.
Pandya could be heard refusing to eat food, citing that it is unhealthy and he needs to stay fit. In the video doing rounds from an IPL ad shoot, the 2022 IPL winning captain was seen shouting at a crew member. He was heard saying, “Yeh kya hai? Jalebi, dhokla kaise khaunga? Fitness karna hai.” He added, “Adjust nahi hota hai. Mere chef aur nutritionists kaha hai?” (What is this? How would I eat Jalebi and Dhokla? I can’t adjust, where are the chef and nutritionists?)
A visibly frustrated Hardik further added, “Director sahab ko bolo yeh nahi chalega. Yeh khaake mera stamina bigad jayega.” (Tell the director it won’t work. My stamina will drop after eating all of this.)
