Star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya smashed 28 runs in an over against Tripura in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Pandya is representing Baroda in the elite-domestic tournament, and playing under the captaincy of his elder brother, Krunal Pandya. He came up with a knock of 47 runs from just 23 balls in the game against Tripura at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. The 31-year-old, who came out to bat at No. 4, hammered three fours and five sixes during his knock.
Out of those five sixes, he hammered four sixes in one over itself, which took place during the 10th over of Baroda’s innings. Pandya smashed four sixes against Tripura spinner Parvez Sultan, on the first, third, fourth, and sixth balls as well as a boundary on the fifth delivery.

The all-rounder who shouldered the responsibility of India’s captaincy in the shortest format earlier, came up with a total of 28 runs in an over. Owing to his knock, Baroda inched closer to the 110-run target. However, the star cricketer missed his well-deserved half-century by three runs. Pandya was dismissed off an MB Mura Singh delivery in the third delivery of the 11th over.
Speaking of his international career, Hardik was last seen in action in Indian colours during the four-match T20I series against South Africa earlier this month. Earlier during the game against Gujarat, Pandya smashed 74* off 35 balls against Gujarat, and then came up with 41* off just 21 balls in the game against Uttarakhand. In the last match of Baroda in the SMAT, Pandya scored 69 runs off 30 balls against Tamil Nadu.
