History was created in the ongoing Big Bash League 12 as the Sydney Thunder were bundled out for a score of only 15 runs in 5.5 overs. Chasing a total of 139 runs, the Sydney-based franchise managed to score only `15 runs with five batters getting out on a duck.

The chief architect of this defeat was the Australian seamer  Henry Thornton, who picked up five wickets in a spell of 2.5 overs while giving away just three runs. The  New South Wales native ran through the middle order and helped in cleaning out the tail as he bowled just 17 deliveries.

The other five Sydney wickets were taken by  Wes Agar, who picked up four scalps while giving away just six runs in his two overs and  Matthew Short, who dismissed  Matthew Gilkes for zero. With this win, the Strikers are on the top of the table with two wins, four points and a net run rate of  +4.375.
Henry  Thornton was given the Player of the Match award for his magical performance and as he received the award he talked about being so overwhelmed by the occasion that he had no clue, what was going on in the middle.
He said, "Have no clue what's going on, it's amazing. We thought they bowled really, really well considering what the wicket was doing, but we hung in there long enough. Haven't seen anything similar to this ever, unbelievable stuff to be honest. We just thought that if we could bowl on top of the stumps, we were clear on what we have to execute. I think we got a lot of nick-offs and Short took one of the best catches at first slip."
