Imam-ul-Haq, the Pakistan opening batter, who is currently playing for Lions in the ongoing Champions One-Day Cup 2024, lost his composure during match five of the tournament against Panthers. He was batting on 60 before being caught behind by Usman Khan off Shadab Khan’s bowling. After his dismissal, Haq was visibly frustrated and smashed his bat in anger and dropped his helmet after reaching the dressing room.

The incident happened in the 23rd over of the Lions with 127 runs on the board. On the first ball of the over from leg spinner Shadab Khan, left-handed Imam-ul-Haq attempted a cut short. However, the ball caught the edge of the bat and went straight into the gloves of Usman Khan. While the bowler and the keeper started to celebrate, Haq looked frustrated while walking back to the pavilion.
