The best of the cricket players have gathered in Australia to witness yet another edition of the T20 World Cup. While cricket fans are eagerly waiting to witness the clash among the best sides in the world, players are enjoying their time in Australia as they are getting an opportunity to interact with each other.
One such moment came to the light when prolific batter and Pakistan skipper Babar Azam got a chance to interact with the former Indian skipper and legendary batter Sunil Gavaskar in the side-lines of the ICC event.
As per the video, which is going viral on social media, Gavaskar was seen congratulating the Pakistan captain as the latter turned 28 on October 15 (Saturday). PCB shared the video of Sunil Gavaskar meeting Pakistan players and the coaching staff as the legendary batter of his time, shared valuable tips with the Pakistan skipper.
Gavaskar was heard telling Babar, "Focus on your shot selection. If your shot selection is good, then you will not have any sort of issue." Gavaskar also handed an autographed cap to Babar as the two posed with it in the video. The 73-year-old was also heard praising Pakistan batting coach Mohammad Yusuf for still holding the record for most Test runs in a calendar year.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan skipper who has often expressed his admiration for Indian cricketers, praised Indian skipper Rohit Sharma when the captains of all the teams gathered in Melbourne for the pre-tournament press conference.
"He is my senior and serving his nation in the most profound manner. When I meet him, I try to learn as much as possible from his experience," said Babar on the query asked by a journalist.
