After winning the maiden  ICC Under 19 Women's T20 World Cup 2023, the Indian team turned Senwes Park into a prime party destination as they celebrated this triumph. In a gush of countless emotions, Women in Blue also brought out the Kala Chashma celebration, which has gone viral on social media.

Talking about the game, India registered a clinical seven-wicket win to clinch the final against England. After choosing to bowl first, Women in Blue ran through the English attack and bundled them out for just 68 runs. The star performer with the ball was Titas Sadhu, who picked up two wickets while giving just six runs in her four overs.

Then with the bat, the Indian team lost two early wickets but Soumya Tiwari and Gongadi Trisha batted brilliantly well against a threatening England spin attack to carry the team over the finish line. Both Tiwari and Trisha scored 24 runs as India chased down the total in 14 overs.

Addressing this performance, Shafali Verma expressed gratitude towards everyone involved in this triumph. She said, “The way all the girls are performing and backing each other, so happy. Incredible feeling. Thanks to the staff, the way they have been backing us every day and telling us that we are here for the cup and because of them we are here. All thanks to them. The players have been backing me a lot. Thanks to BCCI for giving me this beautiful team and really happy for winning the cup.”
