On Friday, September 20, former Indian all-rounder, Irfan Pathan, who is plying his trade for the Konark Suryas Odisha in the Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2024, was seen imitating Billy Bowden during the opening match of the tournament. On Friday, the Konark Suryas Odisha took on the Manipal Tigers in the tournament opener at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur.
The Irfan Pathan-led Konark Suryas had a winning start to their campaign as they closed on to a two-run win over Manipal Tigers. During the match, the Konark Suryas Odisha skipper and former Indian all-rounder, Irfan Pathan was seen bringing up a funny moment with legendary umpire, Billy Bowden.

During the Manipal Tigers' inning, the opposition skipper came next to the on-field umpire and one of the legends, Billy Bowden to gesture an out signal after Laughlin dismissed Manoj Tiwary LBW. The incident took place on the fifth delivery of the third over of Tigers’ inning with the scoreboard reading 4/2.
Soon after Laughlin dismissed Tiwary, Pathan poked fun at Bowden as he also brought up the crooked finger gesture along with the umpire to signal out. Soon afterwards, Bowden looked towards his left in surprise with Irfan emulating him, both of them were left in laughter after seeing each other. The video of this hilarious moment is doing rounds on social media.

Speaking of the match which was played at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur on Friday, September 20, the Harbhajan Singh-led Manipal Tigers won the toss and invited the Konark Suryas Odisha to bat first. The Irfan Pathan-led side posted 104 runs in their stipulated 20 overs, but the Tigers could not chase the target as they fell short by mere two runs. The two sides will next lock horns after a week on Friday, September 27 at the Lalabhai Contractor Stadium in Surat with the Tigers hoping to beat the Konark Suryas and take revenge of their last match defeat.
