Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has undoubtedly been one of the most talented all-rounders that the country has produced. Apart from his ability to swing the ball both ways, he also played some exciting knocks with the bat throughout his career. After Irfan announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on 4 January 2020, the fans were delighted to see the all-rounder back on the field just two months after retirement.

Before the pandemic, the southpaw returned to action when he played for India Legends in the World Road Safety League. In a match against Sri Lanka Legends on 10 March 2020, Irfan was at his classy best as his heroics guided Sachin Tendulkar’s side to an epic victory.
Chasing a target of 139, India Legends were struggling at 62/4. Irfan came in to bat at No. 6 and produced a scintillating half-century. He scored 57* off 31 deliveries, smashing 6 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. Irfan went on to hit the winning runs as India Legends won the contest by 5 wickets.

Pathan brothers will return on Friday
After Yusuf Pathan announced his retirement last month, he has also been added to the India Legends squad. The fans will finally see the reunion of Pathan brothers on the cricket field after such a long time as the World Road Safety League resumes on Friday.
Irfan Pathan also expressed his excitement after uniting with his brother Yusuf Pathan for India Legends. He tweeted a picture of both of them with a caption “Post retirement pic”.
Irfan and Yusuf are expected to feature in the Playing XI for India Legends when they face Bangladesh Legends on March 5, 2021. The highly-anticipated contest is scheduled to be played in Raipur. The action will begin at IST 7:00 PM on Friday.
