New Zealand leg-spinner Ish Sodhi pulled off a certain Catch of the Year candidate as he dismissed Pakistani batter Fakhar Zaman in 1st T20I in Auckland. Batting first, the hosts put forth a batting spectacle by posting a massive 227-run total on the back of Daryl Mitchell's explosive 61 off just 27 balls with four fours and four sixes.

Chasing this massive total, Pakistan also had a blistering start with youngster Saim Ayub blasting the Kiwis 27 in eight balls with three sixes and two fours. But after losing a few quick wickets,  Fakhar Zaman tried to increase the scoring rate by smashing 12 off  Ben Sears' over.

After a taking a single on the last ball,  Zaman got on strike against Ish Sodhi in ninth over and tried to continue this onslaught. But the veteran leggie sent out firing low full toss which Zaman could hit straight back. Here Sodhi threw in a dive towards his left to complete a stunning one-handed catch.

Coming back to the first innings, the Pakistani bowlers started off well with  Shaheen Afridi dismissing the dangerous Devon Conway on the second ball of the match. But from that point forward, the Men in Green couldn't contain the Blackcaps' onslaught with Afridi going for 54 runs while picking up three wickets. Alongside Afridi, all Pakistani bowlers went for runs barring Haris Rauf, who ended with figures of 2-34 in his four overs.
