Memphis Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons in the last two months and the 23-year-old NBA star recently found himself in the middle of another allegation as he appeared to hold a gun again on an Instagram Live video. Earlier, Morant was suspended for eight games for "holding a firearm in an intoxicated state while visiting a Denver area nightclub."

The second pick in the 2019 drafts, Ja Morant also missed out on the All-NBA selection this season which cost him $30 million. After finishing the 2022-23 regular season as the second-placed side in the Western Conference, Memphis lost 4-2 to LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

In March, Morant went on Instagram Live and posted a video of himself flashing a gun at a Denver-area strip club and was reprimanded by the NBA. The Grizzlies guard apologized for the incident, however, Morant's remorse was short-lived as he recently appeared to hold a gun again during an Instagram Live. The video was not  streamed from Morants Instagram handle but from his friend's account, who also featured in the video.

Morant has been in the midst of many controversies in the past few months as he allegedly punched a teenager during a basketball game in his home in Tennessee and came back with a gun visible in the waistband of his pants and his hand on the weapon. Earlier in the summer, Morant was involved in a verbal altercation with Memphis police when he and his friends allegedly refused the security guard’s demands to leave the mall parking lot.
