It was the merry of the day for Chennai Super Kings fans as they watched their favourite side registering the third victory of the IPL 2024 and alongside it, they were delighted by Dhoni’s brief presence at the center. However, it was Ravindra Jadeja’s cheeky prank with the Chennai crowd that played with the patience of CSK fans.
This happened when the home side were three runs short of their target and Shivam Dube was dismissed following an explosive knock. The huge spectators at Chepauk waited with bated breath to see who would come out to the middle to complete the formalities. As and when they thought of getting Dhoni’s glimpse at the end, Ravindra Jadeja pranked the crowd by coming out from the dressing room padded up.
Though it initially seemed as if the Southpaw would join skipper Ruturaj in the middle, Jadeja turned back to the dressing room and made way for the crowd favourite MS Dhoni, who started to proceed to the center. The surprise move sent the Chepauk crowd into a frenzy as the stadium entered berserk mode.

Regarding the match, Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side continued their home domination as Chennai humbled invincible Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets. Ravindra Jadeja was adjudged the player of the match for his remarkable spell of (3/18) in four overs.
