Detroit Pistons’ Jalen Duren got into a verbal feud with Georges Niang during their clash on December 3. The visiting Cavaliers beat their hosts 110-101 on Saturday night and handled their counterparts their 17th consecutive loss. While Darius Garland and Max Strus had 22 points apiece for the visitors, Detroit Pistons had Bojan Bogdanovic making his season debut.

Bogdanovic went on to deliver a 22-point performance. However, Bogdanovic’s 22 points, along with three three-pointers couldn’t help the hosts secure a win over their rivals. While it could have been a high-voltage thriller, it took a serious turn during the fourth quarter when Georges Niang and Jalen Duren got into a heated argument.

Duren was driving to the basket for a shot, which was defended by Donovan Mitchell. However, at the last minute, Niang swatted away the ball, which didn’t go well with Jalen Duren, and he ended up getting into a heated altercation with his rival. Mitchell had to step in to keep everyone calm.

Talking about Mitchell’s performance in the game, he scored 20 points and four assists for the Cavaliers, who were coming on the back of a home loss to Portland. Georges scored 12 points for the defeating team, while Jarrett Allen contributed 19 points and 11 rebounds to his team’s total. The Pistons are currently 2-18, with the longest franchise defeating streak. They haven't been able to win any game since their October clash against Chicago.
