In the main event of the 36th edition of the WWE SummerSlam, the “Biggest party of the Summer,” Jimmy Uso turned on his brother Jey Uso in a shocking plot twist, to cost him the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns. The latest in the ongoing saga of the Bloodline, also known as the “Bloodline Civil War,” went down at the Ford Field in Detroit on August 5, Saturday.

Notably, the reigning, defending, and undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns went into SummerSlam with a massive task on his hands. Not only did he need to defend his championship, but also his crown of the “Tribal Chief” against Jey Uso in a “Tribal Combat,” to close out the show in the Motor City.

During the highly intense match, the kendo stick was a massive equaliser for Roman and Jey in the early stages. The two former members of the Bloodline were able to get consistent near falls, after hitting each other with their best shots.

Then, Solo Sikoa got himself involved in the championship bout, laying out Jey Uso before Roman Reigns inadvertently hit the Street Champion with a spear. It allowed the challenger to take advantage of the situation, hitting his opponent with his signature moves.

Watch the way Jimmy Uso turns on his brother Jey Uso:

When Jey Uso went into the cover to put away Roman Reigns to secure the championship win, a masked assailant dragged him out of the ring before beating him up. The reveal turned out to be the brother Jimmy Uso, which brought a hush among the crowd at the Ford Field, leading to Roman Reigns pinning Jey Uso to retain his championship and the Tribal Chief crown.
