Jinder Mahal, the modern-day Maharaja, has issued a challenge to The Rock for a match in India following their collision on the latest episode of WWE Raw. Moments after The Rock had laid out Jinder Mahal in the middle of the ring this past Monday night, he teased a feud with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

WWE had teased a big return of a former WWE Champion for the Day 1 edition of Raw to kick-start the year 2024. But, when the music of Jinder Mahal got played inside the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, the energy inside the arena was immediately sucked out with the WWE Universe feeling let down by the promotion.
The Modern Day Maharaja, who was pleased with the reaction of the WWE fans, ran down the United States of America before The Rock made his return to a rousing reception. After a back-and-forth on the mic between both the former WWE Champions, which The Great One dominated, they fought each other in the middle of the ring before Jinder Mahal was laid out courtesy of a spinebuster and The People’s Elbow.
A few days later, while speaking to WWE Super Dhamaal, Jinder Mahal was all praises about his own effort in standing up to The Rock on WWE Raw Day 1 before challenging him to a match in India. He was quoted as saying, “It felt great. I actually feel like I came out on top. You know, I had many good points before Rock even came out. I was feeling confident until I was on the receiving end of, you know, Rock gave me a spinebuster. Up until then, I really believed that I had The Rock. You know, I had his confidence choked. I could see the look in his eyes.”

“You know, I am the Modern Day Maharaja, he may be The People’s Champion, you know the champion of the people, they were cheering him on. You know, for someone who had no respect from the crowd, I think I did really well. And I want to issue a challenge to The Rock. Anytime in India, you can step into the ring with the Modern Day Maharaja,” remarked Jinder Mahal.
