The IPL 2024 clash between the Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings saw a hilarious moment involving PBKS wicket-kee per Jitesh Sharma. After winning the toss, the Kings elected to bowl first and found an early breakthrough as Kagiso Rabada dismissed GT's Wriddhiman Saha at a score of 11 in 13 balls.
But in the second over of the game, Arshdeep Singh bowled a delivery down the leg side against Saha, chasing which Jitesh Sharma sprinted away to the fine leg boundary. Running behind the ball Jitesh eventually lost his balance because of his pad and had an embarrassing fall before getting to the ball which eventually went for a boundary.
Here's the video of Jitesh falling over while chasing the ball:
I won’t judge myself on my performances so far: Jitesh Sharma
Ahead of the match, Jitesh Sharma spoke about his journey in the IPL and his 2024 season so far. Sharma said, "It was very exciting and thrilling, and there has been a lot of learning, I have tried to keep things simple. I have kept following my process, things have changed, I can’t deny that but I’m happy that changes have come in my life. I won’t judge myself on my performances so far, my mindset is the same."
"The position I bat in, I have to keep a setback in my mind because I won’t be able to execute my plans every time. But, I think that I will be good in my process and hopefully, everything will work out well. I think Livingstone won’t be able to make it to the team tonight due to his injury, let’s see."
