Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer Jofra Archer was seen confronting Vaibhav Suryavanshi in nets before his team’s Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on April 13. Archer has been in excellent touch in this tournament after his terrible bowling show in his team’s opening game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on March 23. The speedster will be expected to be at his best against Bengaluru. Ahead of the crucial contest, Archer warmed up with RR’s youngest player Suryavanshi in the nets.
Facing the 14-year-old, the England speedster bowled exceptional bouncers to test the youngster’s batting prowess. Taking to X, RR posted a clip that showed both having a battle with each other in the practice session. “Vaibhav vs Archer. Where else if not the IPL?!” RR captioned the video on X. At the IPL 2025 auction held in Jeddah in November 2025, RR snapped up Suryavanshi for INR one crore. The deal made Vaibhav the youngest player to be sold in IPL history.

RR gave a tough time to RCB in IPL last year
In 2024, RR perturbed RCB as the Pink Army won their both games against the Challengers. Sanju Samson and his men became the cause of RCB’s elimination from the league’s 2024 edition. In the 2024 Eliminator game held in Ahmedabad, Rajasthan handed a four-wicket defeat to Bengaluru and shattered their dream of lifting the trophy.
However, things are different this year as RCB have performed exceptionally in their away matches. RR are currently in the seventh spot on the points table with two wins and three losses. The first IPL champions will look to surpass the RCB challenge and improve their condition on the tally.
