Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer Jofra Archer was spotted sleeping in the dressing room during his team’s batting against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match in Mohali. Batting first after losing the toss, RR got a rapid start from their openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson. Both built an 89-run stand off 62 balls for the opening wicket and helped the Royals to have a command over the game. Skipper Samson departed after delivering a fine knock of 38 off 26. The right-handed batter’s innings was studded with six fours.

After Samson’s dismissal, the camera covered an interesting view which has become viral on social media. Through the transparent glass of the RR dressing room, the cameraperson showed Jofra Archer sleeping. Later, Archer also padded up to go into the middle to bat for his side. However, RR didn’t require his batting services as they lost only four wickets and posted a giant total of 205/4 on the board after their 20 overs.

Jaiswal dominate PBKS bowlers with 45-ball 67

RR witnessed the courageous spirit of their opener Yashasvi Jaiswal in the first innings as the southpaw stood at the crease and took PBKS’ bowling attack to the cleaners. After failing to be impactful in his team’s initial three contests, the opener delivered decent numbers to his side against PBKS. Following Sanju’s fall, he also maintained a 34-run partnership off 18 balls with his vice-captain Riyan Parag. He lost his wicket to Lockie Ferguson in the 14th over of the match.

The 23-year-old faced 45 balls and notched up 67 runs with the assistance of eight boundaries (three fours and five sixes). In the final overs of the innings, Shimron Hetmyer (20 off 12) and Dhruv Jurel (unbeaten 13 off five) came heavily on bowlers and hoarded runs at a brisk pace for their team.
