Australia batter Josh Inglis scored his maiden international hundred during the first T20I between India and Australia on November 23, Thursday. After an unexpected end to the World Cup 2023, India locked horns with Australia in a five-match series in India. The sides met for the first fixture of the series on Thursday, at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

Inglis, who came in to bat for his side on number third, slammed his maiden international century in just 47 balls. The Aussie cricketer combined nine boundaries and eight maximums to accomplish the milestone. Celebrating his 100, Inglis jumped and punched the air before taking off the helmet while his teammates gave him a standing ovation.
The 28-year-old was later caught out by Yashasvi Jaiswal off a Prasidh Krishna delivery in the 18th over. Inglis departed on 110 runs in 50 deliveries. Speaking of the match, the hosting skipper, Suryakumar Yadav won the toss over Australia skipper Matthew Wade and invited the visitors to bat first.
By the time Australia lost Inglis’ wicket, their score had reached 180 runs.
