Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star Lionel Messi is considered one of the greatest footballers to play in the history of the sport. Messi has been dominating the game since his debut season and has garnered a massive following of devoted and diehard fans who go above and beyond to support their star.
An incident recently went viral on the internet where a massive Messi fan broke down after he met his idol. This fan was Argentine TV personality Pablo Giralt, who got a chance to speak to the former Barcelona player for Latin American publication DirecTV Sports this week. During the interview with Messi, who spoke about Argentina's chances at the upcoming 2022 World Cup in Qatar, an emotional Giralt was in tears when joined by the when 36-year-old forward on the sofa.

When they interacted, Giralt talked about how he has been preparing for this moment all his life and it has been his dream to interview Messi. He said, "I've dreamed of doing this all my life, but I never thought I would be lucky enough to be able to accompany you with my story, with my love. I thank you with all my heart.”
Reacting to this incident, Messi was surprised as he leaned back on the sofa and smiled before comforting Giralt. After a few seconds, Messi responded: "Thank you very much. I am excited to be able to reach people like this. There are many people in Argentina or in the world in general who always support me, and admire me, from football and from what I am as a person. I am grateful for the affection I’m receiving.”
