After defeating Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final, the star player of Real Madrid, Jude Bellingham, went berserk at the Etihad Stadium, celebrating the big win with a section of the fans near the pitchside. The 20-year-old was heard singing “Asi Asi Asi Gana El Madrid,” which translated to “This is how Madrid wins.”
Following a 2-2 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final, Real Madrid had arrived at the Etihad Stadium for the second leg, under some pressure to defeat Manchester City after losing to them 5-1 on aggregate in last year’s semi-final. But, Rodrygo scored in the 12th minute for Real Madrid, to give them a 3-2 lead on aggregate, putting the pressure back on Manchester City.
In the second half, Kevin de Bruyne scored for Manchester City in the 76th minute, to level the score at 3-3 on aggregate. After there were no goals in extra time, the penalty shootout saw the penalties from Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic getting saved, which led to Real Madrid winning the UEFA Champions League quarter-final 4-3.
Following the insane winning celebrations of Real Madrid, led by Jude Bellingham, he spoke about how his brother, Jobe Bellingham, got to witness him play for the Spanish club for the first time in person. The English midfielder also talked about feeling relieved after defeating Manchester City, which they were unable to do last season of the UCL.
Moreover, in the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid will be facing Bayern Munich, who had defeated Arsenal by 3-2 in the other quarter-final of the competition.
