German footballing star Kai Havertz scored a stunning volley to seal a 5-0 win for Arsenal in their second preseason fixture against the Major League Soccer All-Stars. Playing at the Audi Field in Washington, the Gunners routed the best of MLS with a clinical performance all around the field. The fixture saw many debuts as new transfers like Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Havertz got game time.

Coming back to  Kai Havertz, the former Chelsea star was quick to shut down his critics after a dismal display in cross-and-volley portion of the MLS All-star  Skills Challenge. The 24-year-old became the first player to not score in the event. But immediately on the next day,  Havertz put in a great performance and then at the 89th-minute mark, smashed in a thunderous volley to conclude a 5-0 win for the Gunners.

Talking about the match, Mikel Arteta's men dominated from the opening whistle as Gabriel Jesus found the back of the net at the five-minute mark. Doubling the Arsenal lead, Leoandro Trossad slotted in a right-footed stunner. The next three goals came in the second half with Jorghino's scoring his trademark penalties while Gabriel Martinelli finished off a magical pass by Martin Odegaard before Havertz sealed off the game.

Reacting to Kai Havertz's performance, Mikel Arteta talked about his versatility and attributes which will be crucial for Arsenal this season. He said,  "I think again that’s one of the main qualities that he has. He gives us something different with his quality and his height for example where he can be a target man if we need to beat the press. He’s playing at the attacking midfield position for now but I’m sure throughout the season he’ll be used in different positions."
