SRH played brilliant cricket to reach the grand finale but were demolished by the now three-time champions.
After winning the toss, Hyderabad elected to bat first but immediately was put on the mat as they were reduced to 47-5 in 6.6 overs. The SRH batting collapse continued as they were bundled out for 113 in 18.3 overs. Then in the second innings, KKR showcased their dominant batting prowess to chase down the total in just 10.3 overs.

After the game, KKR opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz also had an emotional moment as spoke about his mother, who has been unwell and thanked for her support in his journey. Gurbaz said, "I think she will be watching, she is OK now. Before the match I spoke to my mom - I asked what do u want, she said, nothing just win."
"Salty played really well and my expectation was as the World Cup was coming, I wanted to prepare, also I had to be ready if Salty got injured, I got it and I was well prepared. Twice I'm champion of IPL, I'm lucky. When you work hard for 2 months and the result when it comes like this is special."
