Talking about Rahul, the star batter is currently out of the squad following the first Test against England. He was dropped from the squad out during the second Test in Visakhapatnam due to a quadriceps strain. He remained out of the team in the third Test due to the same reason. Recently, Indian cricket team batting coach Vikram Rathour provided an injury update about Rahul and said that he is not fit at the moment and his participation in the final match would be subject to his health.
He said, “For me either he is fit or he is not. At the moment he is not fit. I am not sure what percent he is fit at the moment and what is the stage. I am not sure, the medical team will be able to advise that but as far as we are concerned he is not fit and not available for this game, so we are focusing on this team.”
