Ja Morant-less Memphis Grizzlies extended their winning streak to three games after Jaren Jackson Jr. and Santi Aldama's heroics helped them defeat Kyrie Irving's Dallas Mavericks 112-108 at the FedExForum on Monday night in the NBA 2022-23 regular season. After the win, Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks approached Irving to swap jerseys, however, the Mavericks guard was in no mood to take the 27-year-old's jersey.

After winning their first fixture of the season by whopping 41 points, Dallas failed to win their next three regular season matches against Memphis this month. While the Grizzlies have managed the second place in the Western Conference standings with 44 wins in 71 matches, the Mavericks are placed at the seventh spot with a 36-36 record.

While Irving scored 28 points in the Monday's game against the Grizzlies, the first overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft by the Cavaliers, failed to score in the fourth quarter as Brooks' fantastic defense held the Mavericks guard in the final minutes of the game.

The eight-time NBA All-Star, Irving suffered a possible injury during the game as Brooks held him at 0-for-9 shooting in the fourth quarter. After the game, Brooks advanced towards Kyrie to swap jerseys and the latter handed his jersey to the Grizzlies forward as they hugged each other, but didn't take his jersey.

In a postgame interviews, Kyrie revealed, "I saw that after the game. I’ll probably get it next time. Probably next time. Not this time. I was really onto the next thing, thought process-wise."

Luka Doncic-less Dallas Mavericks witnessed a shocking defeat against the Grizzlies on Monday night as the visitors were leading by 16 points in the third quarter and went on to lose the game by four points.
