After beating the Western Conference toppers Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers ended up losing their third game of the 2023-24 NBA regular season against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night. Despite the 10-point loss, the greatest scorer in the NBA made headlines with his poster slam dunk on a 7-footer Kings center.

De'Aaron Fox's 44-point outburst overpowered LeBron's 31-point game during the Kings' victory over the Lakers at the Crypto.com Arena. Apart from his team-high scoring performance, King James made 13 assists, five rebounds, and a steal while he shot 63% from the field.

With less than 8:30 left in the second quarter, LeBron James received the ball from D'Angelo Russell outside the three-point line. The Lakers' star forward drove to the center as Kings guard Keon Ellis traveled with him while center Alex Len tried to narrow down the space created after the Lakers' ball movement. However, Bron took flight and posterized 7-foot-tall Alex Ren on his way to a monster dunk.

Apart from Fox's 44 points, Kings' Malik Monk erupted for 26 points with eight assists and five rebounds while star center Domantas Sabonis recorded a triple-double with 16 points, 20 rebounds, and 12 assists. For the Lakers, LeBron James led the team in scoring followed by Rui Hachimura, who scored 29 points while shooting 13-of-17 from the field and 60% from beyond the arc.

With this win, Sacramento registered their fourth straight regular-season win against the Lakers and are unbeaten against Darwin Ham's side this season after playing three games. In the Western Conference standings, the Kings are laced seventh with a 35-26 record while the Lakers dropped a place to manage the 10th spot with a 34-30 record after the Golden State Warriors' victory against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.
