Neymar Jr, the Brazilian and PSG star footballer, was seemingly ignored by Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton after he hung out with the Red Bull team at F1 Monaco GP. It is well-known that Neymar Jr and Lewis Hamilton are two of the closest friends outside of their respective sports, but at the Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo on May 28, Sunday, it wasn’t the case.

A Twitter user posted the video of the moment on their account with a caption, “Lewis Hamilton didn’t see Neymar.” In the short clip, the Brazilian was walking alongside an interviewer from Sky Sports F1, when suddenly he changed course and looked towards Hamilton, who was riding on a leg push scooter from the other side. Moments later, Neymar Jr tried to say something to the Briton, who seemingly ignored him altogether and went along riding on his way.

The video has now gone viral on social media with lots of hilarious comments and anecdotes being thrown around by the fans of both star athletes.

Later on, the Paris Saint-Germain footballer shared his comment about who he is supporting in the race and said, “I love F1 and above all I love [Lewis] Hamilton, who is a great friend of mine. I will support Red Bull and root for my friend.”

Notably, the Monaco GP was won by the reigning two-time F1 world champion Max Verstappen from the Netherlands. His Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez had a really tough race as he finished in 16th place while being two laps down on the leader. The Spaniard Fernando Alonso achieved second place in Monte Carlo for Aston Martin.

Meanwhile, the third spot on the podium went to the Alpine driver Esteban Ocon from France.  The friend of Neymar Jr, the British driver Lewis Hamilton got fourth place at the Circuit de Monaco.
