After failing to win any of their last five matches across all competitions including the elimination from the CONCACAF Champions Cup quarter-final against Monterrey, Lionel Messi's Inter Miami finally registered a victory as they beat Sporting Kansas City 3-2 at the Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday. During the match, Messi's bodyguard Yassine Chueko was spotted storming into the field to tackle a young fan, who invaded the field to meet the Argentine forward.
Sporting KC midfielder Erik Thommy opened the scoring in the sixth minute to give his side a 1-0 lead, however, Lionel Messi's spectacular assist propelled Inter Miami midfielder Diego Gómez to score an easy equalizer in the 18th minute.

During the second half between Sporting KC and Inter Miami, a young fan invaded the pitch to meet his idol, Lionel Messi, and outsmarted Yassine Chueko during the process. However, the Argentine World Cup winner's bodyguard was quick to spot the pitch invader and stormed the field to tackle the fan. But La Pulga showed his humbleness and allowed the kid to take pictures.

Messi scores banger to give Inter Miami 2-1 lead vs. Sporting KC
Five minutes into the second half, Leo Messi produced an astonishing strike from outside the box to give a one-goal lead to Inter Miami against the hosts. After receiving a pass from David Ruiz in the middle, the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner dribbled a few steps and launched an absolute banger from outside the box.

However, Inter Miami's lead was short-lived as Sporting KC's Erik Thommy found the back of the net for the second time on Saturday night and equalized the score 2-2. In the 71st minute, Luis Suarez took the Herons in the lead as Diego Gomez provided a low cross inside the box and the Uruguayan tapped in the winning goal.
