Luka Donic recorded his first-ever first-half triple-double in the Dallas Mavericks' 50-point win over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night. The 24-year-old Slovenian registered a 40-point triple-double despite playing only three periods and reflected on his historic play in a post-match interview, where he accidentally used abusive words on live television.
With his 60th career triple-double on Wednesday, Doncic surpassed Larry Bird to become the ninth player with the most triple-doubles in NBA history. The Mavericks guard scored 29 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and made 10 assists in the first half to help Dallas lead Utah by 23 points. He shot 14-of-25 from the field, and 6-of-12 from beyond the arc while playing 32 minutes against the Jazz.

Doncic swears on live TV
Mavericks registered their highest-scoring game this season while they left two points short to record their highest-scoring game ever in regulation. After winning the game 147-97, Mavericks guard Doncic, who rocked a thin headband for the first time after becoming a father a few days ago, was animated while talking in a post-match interview and accidentally used abusive words.
The reporter asked Doncic's take on their 50-point win over the Jazz and the 6-foot-7 guard said, "Before the game, I said, 'We just can't f*ck around... Oh Sh*t." The moment he realized his mistake the reporter burst into laughter.
