The Dallas Mavericks ended their two-game winning streak in the 2023-24 NBA regular season with a 110-113 loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night. Mavericks star guard Luka Doncic registered a game-high 39 points, however, failed to win the third game in a row for Dallas. The 24-year-old Slovenian also made six assists including a potential dime of the season to Seth Curry.

The Mavericks led the game against Donovan Mitchell-less Cavaliers at the end of the third quarter by eight points after managing a 15-point lead at halftime. The Cavaliers rallied in the fourth quarter as Caris LeVert scored 15 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter.
With less than 1:30 remaining in the first quarter, Luka Doncic produced a sensational pass to Seth Curry, who extended the Mavericks' lead to 16 points with his three-pointer. Doncic went inside the Cavaliers' defense and made a no-look dime to the unmarked Seth Curry for a three-point game.

Cavs rally in 4th to beat Mavs 113-110
Mavericks' All-Star guard Kyrie Irving has been sidelined for 10 straight games due to a right heel injury. In his absence, Luka continued his dominant form scoring past 30 points in 14 of his last 15 games, followed by Seth Curry's 19-point game. On the other hand, the Cavaliers missed the service of their star guard Donovan Mitchell due to an illness against the Mavs.
However, Caris LeVert started off the bench to register 29 points, seven assists with 6-off-11 from the three-point shooting after missing out on the last game with a knee injury. Apart from him, Jarrett Allen recorded 24 points and 23 rebounds followed by Issac Okoro's 22-point game.
