Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has a massive fan base in the country. However, as Dhoni is long retired from international cricket and only plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL), his fans eagerly wait for even a glimpse of the star cricketer. But that too is difficult as Dhoni is rarely active on social media. The Ranchi-born cricketer shares pictures and videos in weeks, months, or even years.
Such low is the intensity of posts by Dhoni that he has posted only two videos since his retirement post on Instagram. The latest of which came on Wednesday (8 Feb). Dhoni sent his fans into a frenzy as he shared a video of himself ploughing a field on a tractor at his farm in Ranchi.
By the caption, it seems Dhoni was saving this video for a long time as he was learning the skill of ploughing a field. “Nice to learn something new but took way too long to finish the work,” wrote the 41-year-old in the caption of his post.
Meanwhile, as the former India captain posted something after 108 weeks, his fans went crazy. The video garnered over 1.3 million likes in just one hour of posting. Over 30 thousand people left a comment on the video posted by Dhoni. The cricketer’s IPL franchise, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were quick to leave a comment. “Thala Dharisanam on Insta after so long!” wrote chennaiipl.
