The Brazil football team has announced their squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The announcement of the squad gave football fans a heartwarming moment from Manchester United winger Antony who got extremely emotional after his inclusion.
The former Ajax star was watching the squad announcement with his family. As his name was announced he rose up in joy and embraced his family members in elation. He later posted a video with his reaction which was captioned thanking god, friends and family.
The caption said, Por vocês!!! Obrigado, meu Deus!! Obrigado todo mundo… amigos, família, mãe, pai, irmãos!! Amo vocês!!! Emoção demais!! (transaltion: For you! Thank you, God! Thank you everyone… friends, family, mom, dad, brothers! Love you! Too much emotion!)

Along with Antony, three other Manchester United players - Casemiro, Fred and Alex Telles have been selected in Brazil’s 26-man squad. Telles is currently on loan at Spanish side Sevilla, whereas Casemiro, Fred and Antony have been crucial for Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United side which has seen a resurgence after a poor 2021-22 season.
