Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford's 2022-23 season has been phenomenal as the 25-year-old scored 30 goals and made eight assists across all competitions for the English side. At Manchester United's annual awards night on Monday, Rashford claimed double victory as he was named Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year. However, the England forward revealed his two nominations for the award and heaped praise on Brazilian star Casemiro.

At the award ceremony,  Antony bagged  Men's Goal of the Season for his incredible strike in the Europa League playoff triumph against Barcelona. Meanwhile, United Women's forward Alessia Russo also clinched two awards as she won Fans' Player of the Year and Goal of the Season for her strike against Arsenal while  defender Hannah Blundell would pick up Players' Player of the Year

After winning two awards, Marcus Rashford revealed his two picks for the Players' Player of the Year award and praised the Brazilian midfielder Casemiro for having a great impact since joining the Old Trafford club. Rashford also praised Portuguese star Bruno Fernandes and revealed that he nominated Casemiro and Bruno. He said, "I think I nominated two people. I don't know if I'm allowed to do that. I voted for Case and Bruno. I feel like Case has done an amazing job since coming in and he has made us a lot more solid."

Rashford continued his praise for Casemiro and appreciated his efforts that allowed other players to perform better. He added, "He's one of the reasons why David (De Gea) managed to win the Golden Glove, and we were just a lot more solid in the midfield. That freed the likes of people like Bruno and Eriksen, who I thought has had a tremendous season as well, to play their football."

Manchester United finished the 2022-23 season in the third position in the Premier League and will face their city-rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final at the Wembley Stadium. While Pep Guardiola's men have already won the Premier League and are in the UEFA Champions League final against Inter Milan, Man United have won the Carabao Cup against Newcastle and could win their second title this season on Saturday, June 3.
